About Daughters of Long Reach
Drawn to its rich maritime history, Ellie and Ty Malone purchase a grand home in Bath, Maine, and discover the story of a prominent shipbuilding family who lived there in the 1800s. Daughters of Long Reach explores love and loss through the lens of multiple families who are separated by time but connected by the rolling tides of the Kennebec River. Anna Malone, a modern-day daughter, arrives in Bath to heal and to begin to write again after losing her heart and her work to a charming, but duplicitous, filmmaker. Stella Rose leaves Bath in the 1940s to nurse wounded sailors, but she finds love in the middle of war and may never go home again. Thomas Goss, a sea captain at the turn of the 20th century, comes back to Bath to save his soul, but he almost loses it completely. Across three centuries, Long Reach ties hearts and souls together with a sailor’s knot.

About the Sovereign Series:
Welcome to The Sovereign Series, five feel-good novels (and a companion cookbook in the works) about life in the country, penned by Maine farmer and author Jen Wixson. The books are set in the mythical small town of Sovereign, Maine (pop. 1,048) and feature a quirky cast of characters who weave in and out of the novels like old friends dropping in for a cup of tea.

The first three books are narrated by Maggie the minister of the little white church; the fourth is her daughter Nellie's story. In the fifth and final book, Maggie's Dilemma, we say "goodbye" to our friends as Maggie finally finds peace and happiness at last. Each book is a standalone novel, although reading the series in the order in which the novels were written deepens your relationship with the characters, who soon become your new best friends. Fans of Jen's work have compared her tales to such classics as Anne of Green Gables (by Lucy Maud Montgomery) and Jan Karon's Mitford series

By allowing us to take a peek into this small world of kindness and goodness, Jen reminds us that, no matter how dark the world appears at times, love is still sovereign!

About the Authors:

Irene Drago:
Much like Ellie of Daughters of Long Reach, Irene M. Drago fell in love with Bath’s maritime history in 2013 and has quickly cultivated deep ties to the Kennebec River. Irene lives there with her husband, Joe, and has kept her writing flowing by maintaining Bath Time Society, a blog that speaks to Mainers both native and new. Born in the shadow of the Brooklyn Navy Yard, Irene’s father and brother both served on destroyers, which inspired a fascination with ships and boats of all kinds. Life has taken her from Brooklyn to Long Island, Worcester, Washington, D.C., Wichita, Chicago, and now to Bath, Maine, her city of choice.

Jennifer Wixson:
A Maine farmer, writer, and itinerant Quaker minister, Jen lives in Troy where she and her husband raise Scottish Highland cattle.  You can follow
